Grace and peace to you in Christ!
Thank you for stopping by to visit our community's website. Here's my story:
I was born and raised in a good Catholic family. My parents taught me to love the Lord and respect the Church by example and by word. During college, I experienced a series of deepening conversions and made a definitive decision to follow Jesus. My wife, Colleen, and I experienced Christian community there and came to understand how necessary community is for continued growth in the Lord. After we graduated and got married, we and a few other young couples began discerning community life. We shared a dream of living in close proximity to others who are like-minded with us so that we can be a mutual support while raising our children in the Faith. After a few years of discernment, our group joined the Domestic Expression of the Brothers and Sisters of Charity in 1998. Our local cluster group now numbers 20 adult members and 50-some when we gather with all of our children.
It’s impossible to tell you briefly how being members has blessed our lives and the lives of our five children! Fifteen years into the process, the good fruit is now plain to see. Our community calls us to live lives of disciplined prayer, study, and service. We live within a network of community relationships that keep us honest and strong. Our brothers and sisters are a beautiful example to us and a real support when times are difficult.
If our way of life is speaking to your heart, perhaps our community is for you. Look at our website, and contact the Regional Minister from your part of the country.
Peace and good!
