I want to briefly tell you my story. I was born and raised into a Catholic family. My mother and paternal grandmother were converts to the Faith and were my best teachers. I attended Catholic elementary school and was 12 years old when the Second Vatican Council took place. So I started out being formed in the pre-Vatican era and survived the confusion that took place during those changes. I must say that I am thankful for the "Windows Being Opened". My first encounter with a "Born Again" experience came through making a Parish Renewal in the early 1980s. This was a movement of the Holy Spirit that came out of the Cursillo movement. Jesus healed many of us through this experience. This is where I realized that I could not walk my Christian journey alone and it became very important to me to find people of like mind and heart to walk.
When I discovered the Brothers and Sisters of Charity through John Michael Talbot's music, I knew that I found what the Lord had been calling me. I started in the community in 1994 and became permanently professed in 1997. I cannot express adequately how my experience in the Community has helped me grow closer to Jesus through and with my Brothers and Sisters. Unlike some of our married couple members, my husband has not felt called to the Community but has been and is very supportive of my call and involvement. He is a true "Friend of the Community".
So if you feel that nudge from the Holy Spirit to go deeper in your faith take a look at our Web site and see if this may be where He is calling you to be.
Peace and all good in Jesus,
