Greetings from the South Central Region within the Domestic Expression of the Brothers and Sisters of Charity.
The South Central Region is comprised of 7 states in the south central part of the United States including Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas. We are ordinary folks who feel called by the Lord to membership and to ministry within the Domestic Expression of the Brothers and Sisters of Charity. We seek to live a monastic charism within the secular world. We are blessed by the spirituality and the way of life that we share in common.
Cell Groups Currently, we have 5 cell groups where members come together on a regular basis to study, pray, and fellowship together. These are located in:
St. Louis, Missouri
Ft. Worth, Texas (Heart of the Good Shepherd)
Austin, Texas
Houston, Texas (St. Clare)
Virtual Cell Group (St. Isidore) – Members are primarily throughout the SC region.
Even those who do not live in these particular areas can be active members of the BSC community and enjoy regular contact with our members through phone and internet, as well as through attendance at yearly Gatherings of the community. Our General Gathering is held every year in October at Little Portion Hermitage, and a Regional Gathering is held each year in early summer at different locations within our Region.
